Fifth-generation fighter jets represent the cutting edge of modern air combat, combining stealth, advanced avionics, sensor fusion, supercruise capability, and exceptional maneuverability. These aircraft are designed to operate in highly contested environments, engaging targets at long range while minimizing detectability through radar-evading shapes and internal weapons bays. Equipped with networked sensors and integrated electronic warfare systems, they provide unparalleled situational awareness and multirole flexibility, performing air superiority, precision strike, and intelligence missions. Examples include the U.S. F-22 and F-35, Russia’s Su-57, and China’s J-20, all of which exemplify the combination of speed, agility, stealth, and advanced technology that defines this generation of fighters.

The Su-57 “Felon” is Russia’s fifth-generation, single-seat, twin-engine stealth multirole fighter designed for air superiority and precision strike missions. Combining advanced stealth shaping, supercruise capability, thrust-vectoring engines, and sophisticated avionics, it is optimized for both beyond-visual-range engagements and close-quarters dogfighting. The Su-57 can carry a wide range of guided missiles and bombs internally to maintain low observability while operating in contested airspace. Its blend of speed, agility, stealth, and multirole versatility positions it as Russia’s most advanced fighter and a key component of modern aerial combat capabilities.
